The controls take a little while to get used to (I'm using iPad 2), but it's not too terrible. That being said, this game is a lot of fun and as there has been a drought in MMORPGs for iPhone and iPad, this is and will be a great success, assuming content and updates continue (we shall see). No one wanted to bring a game like WoW or WoW to iOS so the devs at gameloft decided to do it. My guess is Havok is a WoW fanboy and an apple hater. There is no other game like this on iOS, and while it is essentially a port of WoW, they did so successfully and I've been enjoying the game quite a bit since release. The fact that it's a F2P game with no areas or races needing to be bought more than makes up for this fact, and this is an MMO superior to many really bad PC ones. Mounts, something loyal players have been waiting for since the beginning can only be obtained with real money, unless you get lucky enough with a Bind Stone (5% chance of trapping a creature) which currently costs 1 gold (equivalent to $1).
Those who are wealthy in real life don't have this issue, as they can straight-up buy gold and epic gear from the "lucky wheel" or whatever it is. While it's not outrageously difficult to max your character's combat level, levelling crafting is another story entirely, which can take dozens of hours of gathering material just to be able to craft epic gear. It's disappointing that this game has recently evolved into a P2W (pay to win) model. That's like bashing every platformer ever because they were all similar to Jumpman (original Mario) or every single RPG ever because they copied Zork or Rogue or whatever the first dungeon crawler even was. It it disgusting that this game should have such a low User Score, and all because people can't get over the fact that it's similar to World of Warcraft.
